Description
This Phlebotomy program will prepare graduates to work as an entry-level Phlebotomy Technician in a clinic, hospital, nursing home or long-term care facility. Graduates will be able to assist in basic laboratory procedures, collecting blood (phlebotomy) and other clinical tasks.
This course is designed to meet the National Health Career Association, NCCT, and New York State Education Department curriculum requirements. The course will prepare graduates for NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Professional Certification. The course includes both theory and clinical training.
The course curriculum is approved by the New York State Education Department, NCCT, and by National Health Career Association (NHA).
Who Should Attend? ================ This course is designed for those (men and women) looking for employment as Phlebotomy Technician, and is recommended for all students considering nursing careers. Combination with the Electrocardiography program will allow graduates to work as an entry-level Patient Care Technician in a clinic, hospital, nursing home or long-term care facility.
